These Terms of Use apply to Second Self, a time capsule app for saving, sharing, and opening memories. By using Second Self, you agree to these terms.
Use of Second Self
You may use Second Self to create capsules, upload memories, join events, view public capsules, create promo capsules, interact with posts, and use related app features. You are responsible for your account and for all content you upload or submit.
Accounts
Some features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant Second Self the rights needed to store, display, process, transmit, and operate that content within the app based on your selected capsule type and visibility settings.
Content Rules
You must not upload, post, share, or submit content that is:
- Illegal, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, or harmful.
- Sexually exploitative, violent, deceptive, spam, malware, or fraudulent.
- Infringing on someone else’s rights, privacy, or intellectual property.
- Content you do not have permission to upload or share.
Events, Promo Capsules, and Public Capsules
Event capsules and promo/public capsules may allow other users to upload, view, comment, or interact with content. Hosts and owners may manage certain capsule settings, visibility, guests, highlights, and moderation actions.
Moderation and Removal
We may remove content, restrict access, disable features, or delete accounts if content or behavior violates these terms, creates safety concerns, infringes rights, or may expose Second Self or users to legal or security risk.
Purchases
Second Self may offer in-app purchases for event capsules, promo capsules, upgrades, or extensions. Purchases are processed by the applicable app store provider. Refunds, billing, and payment methods may be handled by Apple App Store or Google Play according to their policies.
Account Deletion
You may initiate account deletion inside the Second Self app from Settings. You may also request deletion through https://secondself.info/delete-account.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. You can read it at https://secondself.info/privacy.
App Availability
We may change, suspend, remove, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or error-free.
No Warranty
Second Self is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Second Self and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
